Matariki...Celebrate!!!

Kia ora koutou. Today we are celebrating Matariki. It can mean a number of fantastic things. For example, it is a time when the Maori people know when to plant crops, if the winter will be cold depending on how close the stars are. Also it is a time to reflect and be thankful and celebrate everything in your life.
The scientific name for Matariki is Pleiades and the literal meaning in English is "little eyes. We did so many activities from creating kites, harakeke (weaving) and messages on the thankful tree.
