Curtain raiser

Last Friday the year 3 and 4 Rippa Rugby team played the curtain raiser at the magpies game.
We faced Lucknow school it was a really close game but we just won
3 to 2. All the parents and kids really encouraged every body. All the
kids should really say thank you to Rick, Frances dad, he really helped all the kids.
We were given this privilege as a reward because of how many teams were entered in the ripper rugby tournament.

Port Ahuriri school common wealth games

Last Wednesday the whole school had a mini common wealth games. There were many events including hockey skills, gumboot throw, hurdles, netball,
Rhythmic gymnastics, egg and spoon race, balance beam, obstacle corse,
High jump, 200 metre relay, lawn bowls, rugby pass in the hoop. It was really
awesome to see all the senior leaders helping out with all the little kids.
Everybody really enjoyed it!
